VOLUNTEERS are desperately needed for an important service to elderly people in the Ilminster area.
Ilminster and District Community Transport relies solely on volunteer drivers to take senior citizens to day centres, hospitals and medical centres.
In particular, a driver is needed for Wednesdays, 2pm-3.30pm.
Co-ordinator Paul Whaites said: "I'm getting rather desperate. Volunteers are hard to come by."
