UP to 65 new jobs will be created by Morrisons when it converts Safeway in Pool into one of its own brand stores on September 1.
"Morrisons are converting stores all over the UK. We value good service and that is why we have created 65 new full and part-time jobs to deliver the high level of service Morrisons customer expect," said store general manager, Dax Ryan.
The extra staff employed at the store include a butcher with expertise in cutting and packing meat, a fishmonger, checkout staff and more warehouse staff to ensure shelves are always kept well stocked with produce.
"The recruitment programme was a great success and we created roles right across the store. We now have a first class team in place to ensure we give the very best service to new and regular shoppers," said Dax.
The store will close on Saturday, August 27, at 6pm and re-open on Thursday, September 1, at 9am.
