A RETIRED naval chef and his wife are living in fear after their Camborne home was burgled and daubed with anti-paedophile slogans in a case of mistaken identity.
Eddie and Brenda Smith said they believed they had been the victims of mistaken identity. They thought the culprits had intended to enter the home of a man who has appeared in court, charged under the Sexual Offences Act, whose case has been adjourned.
The couple said they were scared that whoever had broken into their home, of 35 years, and written "nonce", "rapist", "child molester", and "die" on their walls and ceiling, were motivated by violence, and not theft.
