A GOVERNMENT inspector has dismissed an appeal by Walker Developments against a refusal of an application to build four two-storey homes next to a walled garden in Penryn.
The company had applied to build the homes in the grounds of Kernick House, a Grade II listed building, off Kernick Road, but Carrick district council refused the application in May of last year.
There were concerns over the effect the proposed development would have on the character and appearance of the surrounding area, with particular regard to the loss of the trees protected by a tree preservation order.
