A COUPLE were viciously attacked by a gang of thugs as they walked home from a night out in Taunton at the weekend.
Darren Dyer, 28, and his girlfriend Jayney Bedding, 30, both from Taunton, were walking were on The Parade after leaving the Moat House pub at about 1am on Saturday.
Jayney stopped to withdraw money from a cashpoint, after which Darren was attacked.
"I was jumped on from behind", he told the Somerset County Gazette. "I can't remember how many there were exactly, but I'm sure it was more than 15 and they were aged 18 or 19."
