A CHARD company has started preparation work for the spectacular craning-in of a new bridge in South Somerset.
Contractors RG Spiller moved in on Monday to prepare for the 27-metre Cocklemoor Bridge superstructure at Langport.
The bridge will be installed in October and will allow pedestrians to cross the River Parrett and use riverside amenities safely away from the historic Bow Bridge and the busy A378 traffic it carries.
