The Carn Brea 5-a-side league, which is sponsored by Nantuckett News of Tuckingmill, is nearing the beginning of its 32nd season at the leisure centre.
Having last season enjoyed one of its most successful, new teams have joined with players returning from senior clubs to play in the league, so the standard will again be one to watch and take part in.
This is mainly due to the FA change of rule on discipline at the start of last season where the yellow cards are replaced by blue cards and therefore incurring a "sin bin" punishment as opposed to a FA punishment and not contributing to a ban for the 11-a-side football.
The season kicks off on Tuesday, September 6, and Thursday, September 8, respectively. At this late stage two vacancies have arisen and anyone interested in entering a team should contact Graham Tippett on 01209 716403 or 07899 951512.
