Redruth School were celebrating this week when they heard their A-level students had amassed a 98 per cent pass rate. Craig Martin, head of sixth form, said: "We are delighted. It is all down to the hard work of the students and staff."
Of the students who passed their A- levels two will be off to Cambridge University, policeman's son David Grigg and Tom Harvey, son of a local doctor.
Passing four A-levels and A grade weres James Hogan and Rosemary Taylor, and Ellie Cruse passed three at A grade.
Mr Martin said the school had achieved very good figures and above the national average.
This year 176 entries, excluding general studies, totalled a 98 per cent pass rate and 18 out of 21 subjects achieved a 100 per cent pass rate
