SOMERSET is getting greener than ever with news out this week that the county's recycling rate for 2004-05 reached its highest ever total of just under 32 per cent.
Over 87,000 tonnes of waste was sent off for recycling rather than landfill,resulting in a recycling level of 31.57 per cent, well up on last year's figure of 27 per cent and significantly higher than the national average of 19 per cent.
