HOPES have been dashed for Ilminster's Chamber of Commerce after a controversial supermarket application was sent back to South Somerset District Council by the Government Office of the South-West.
The chamber had hoped that intervention by itself and the Council for the Protection of Rural England would lead to the application for a Shudrick Lane supermarket going before Central Government.
