TREKKER Tim Spalding will be scaling the slopes of Glastonbury Tor on Saturday to raise cash for cancer sufferers.
Tim, of Portland Street in Taunton, will climb the Tor at least 25 times in one day.
The aim is to raise interest and awareness of the work of Macmillan Cancer Relief and help prepare for his sponsored trek up Mount Kilimanjaro later in the year.
All money raised by Tim's sponsored trek will help pay for two Macmillan support nurses based at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton and benefit the Macmillan Women's Cancer Clinic Appeal to fund a gynaecology clinic at Yeovil District Hospital. The appeal will also fund the clinic sessions of a specialist consultant and a specialist gynaecology nurse to work at the gynaecology clinic.
Anyone who can help Tim with fundraising can contact the Somerset fundraising office on 01823-327503.
