SCHOOLBOY boffin Peter Ash, 16, has harnessed hamster power to charge up his mobile phone.
Today (Thursday) he will find out if the project has helped him pass his GCSE.
The more hamster Elvis runs round his exercise wheel, the more talk time the West Somerset Community College student has on his mobile.
Peter, of Lawford, Crowcombe, said: "Every two minutes Elvis spends running on his wheel gives me about 30 minutes talk time on my phone."
Peter, who is hoping to start work next month as a trainee electrician, is also restoring a Ferguson T20 tractor in his spare time.
