A DUNSTER man in his thirties has been bailed to appear in court tomorrow (Friday) charged with unlawful possession of a firearm - believed to be a sawn-off shotgun - after a four-hour siege on Saturday.
Police said that Scott Reynolds, of Conygar View, Dunster Marsh, would appear before West Somerset magistrates.
Residents in the quiet village backwater were still in shock this week after armed police with dogs threw a cordon around the area at 3pm on Saturday after a man was reported to have barricaded himself inside.
The road was closed and neighbours were told to stay inside their houses away from windows after a gunshot was heard earlier in the day.
