Three of the principal roads to the east of Truro need resurfacing and, to avoid major holdups, the work will done at night.

The roads to be resurfaced are the A390 Tresillian to Truro, the eastern end of the A390 Probus bypass and the Truro end of the A39 Trispen bypass. Work begins at Tresillian on Monday, September 5, at Probus on Tuesday, September 6 and at Trispen on Monday, September 26.

The surfaces of all the roads have become worn out and require replacement. The Cornwall Casualty Reduction Strategy highlighted Woodcock Corner on the A390 and this section of road is being resurfaced as part of the county council's accident investigation programme. A 40mph speed limit will be enforced throughout Woodcock Corner during the period of the roadworks and for six months afterwards to allow the surface to reach its full skidding resistance.
