More At Melton Mowbray

The Graded Sale of Poultry which takes place twice a year at Melton Mowbray Market, has become a flagship event. No doubt the quality of the graders (Mike Clark and Ian Kay) does much to contribute to this and the grading process allows buyers to bid with confidence and vendors to be assured that their good stock will be acknowledged.

This September, the Sale is on Saturday 10 September and it is being held in conjunction with the Traditional Native Breeds National Show and Sale on the 9th and 10th. There are some 800 sheep, 170 cattle and 60 pigs entered for the sale from participating breed societies, most of them from Rare Breeds. So if poultry is NOT your only interest, take a break and stay overnight and visit both days for a truly interesting weekend.

For more details call 01664 562971 or email info@meltonmowbray.co.uk www.meltonmowbraymarket.co.uk Entries have now closed, for a catalogue send £2.50 to Melton Mowbray Market, Scalford Road, Melton Mowbray LE13 1JY.
