Two young men died last week on the same stretch of road near Bridgwater. But they are not the first to lose their lives there and - unless something is done - they may not be the last.

Flynn Read died in a motorbike crash last Sunday and, just a day later, 20-year-old Peter Tarrant lost his life in a motorbike accident too.

In April, teenager Wayne Packer was seriously injured riding a moped, while last November, Darrell Cornish died in a car crash.

Friends and family of this tragic quartet of young men have this week used the Mercury as a mouthpiece to call for action to stop more lives being lost.
