AN Ilminster man is celebrating the highest marks EVER for his university degree in materials technology.
Former pupil of Swanmead Community School, Marc Gummer, 28, of Stocklinch, was sponsored by Pittards to attend a three-year BSc course in leather technology at the University of Northampton.
Marc graduated this July and achieved the highest marks ever in his final exams to gain a first class degree. Overall Marc gained 80%, 10% over the first class degree mark.
