A capacity audience packed into the beautiful setting of Lismore Gardens on Saturday for the third "Proms in the Park" concert by Helston Town Band.
Some 550 flag-waving Helstonians saw the band get off to a flying start with a rousing performance of Stars and Stripes Forever, featuring some fantastic soprano cornet playing from Jeremy Squibb.
The remainder of the first half included some excellent performances from the band, under the baton of musical director John Hitchens. A highlight was the trombone trio I Will Follow Him, from the film Sister Act, which featured Lester Ashton, Royston Dower and Adrian Waters dressed in nun's habits.
