CHILDREN and parents in Wiveliscombe are celebrating after finally raising enough money to revamp the playground at the recreation ground.
Confirmation has come through of a grant of £25,000 the Government's Living Spaces Programme, with a further £7,000 from the Local Network Fund through Somerset Community Foundation, which has helped them reach their target of £69,000.
The money will provide two new multi-activity units for the under-fives and older children, a new path, fencing and access gates and a safety surface under the new units.
