Crowds flocked to hear old classics and new tunes on Sunday at a charity concert in Truro.

The concert was organised by Stevie Webb and took place at Boscawen Park, raising money for Dogs for the Disabled and the Merlin Project.

Bands at the concert included Even Nine, Three Minute Warning, Fake White Fever and the Good the Bad and the Ugly.

It is not known exactly how much was raised yet. The concert was held as part of Stevie's Challenge, which was devised by Mr Webb. Last month he set out on a challenge to travel 900 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in his electric wheelchair.

However, he was forced to postpone his attempt when, halfway through his journey, he broke his arm after hitting a pothole and being thrown out the chair.

At the time Mr Webb said: "I broke my right arm and unfortunately this is the arm I need and doing the challenge from my left arm would be very dangerous. I am very disappointed. I don't like failing but it could have been worse."
