THE cost of buying petrol in Chard has broken the £1 barrier.
On Friday, in response to the latest rise in the cost of importing fuel, Central Motors Filling Station in Chard was forced to raise the price of a litre of unleaded petrol to 102p.
On the same day, Tesco Filling Station in Chard increased the cost of their petrol to 96.9p, 5p up on two days previously.
