A CLUB which is alleged to have repeatedly broken licensing rules has been barred from re-opening as a nightclub.
A request for a music and dancing permit at Aura in Church Square, Taunton, was turned down by the Taunton deane licensing committee.
Deane licensing manager Jim Hunter said: "Aura has had more breaches of conditions than any licensed premises i've ever dealt with."
As well as repeated loud music there were also problems with CCTV conditions, unregistered door staff and "high levels of crime and disorder", resulting in 15 police visits in six months.
