Minehead businessman Graham Sizer and his wife Angela had a miracle escape on Tuesday evening when the car they were in careered past trees in a steep hotel garden.
Mrs Sizer, 59, who was also unhurt, was at the wheel of her bright yellow Ford Ka when it crashed over three walls, raced through the garden of the Channel House Hotel and then finally crunshed into a tree on a coast path.
The couple, of Weirfield Road, who were on their way to dinner, escaped with minor bruising.
Mr Sizer, aged 55, owner of Minehead Radio in Friday Street, was this week working at his shop as usual.
But he said: "We are lucky to be here."
