THE News-supported Community Justice Panel has heard its first case in Ilminster - a nuisance neighbour problem.
The panel heard how the offender has constantly allowed noise and disturbance from her property causing distress to the neighbours - some of whom were elderly and quite fearful.
Despite warnings from her landlords and complaints to the police, nothing appeared to impact on her behaviour.
New Ilminster beat manager PC Louise Wright was instrumental in bringing the case before the panel, which heard from the offender and several of the people affected by the problem.
An Acceptable Behaviour Contract was drawn up and signed by the offender.
