ABOUT 3,000 people watched Formula One world champion Jenson Button receive the freedom of his hometown in Somerset today.
VIP guests joined thousands of others for the ceremony in Frome.
Town Mayor Damon Hooton conferred the honour in the Cattle Market car park.
A new footbridge is also set to be named after the driver, who won the 2009 Formula One World Championship.
