A CARE home in Wiveliscombe has held a special exercise session for its residents as part of National Fall Awareness Day.

People at Pulsford Lodge, were able to take part in a 'Flexercise' class, with the aim of encouraging them to be more active.

National Falls Awareness Day is run buy Help the Aged, who are determined to get people more motivated and active in old age.

Pulsford Lodge is run under Taunton-based Somerset Care.

Nurse advisor Melanie Hedgecock-Reeves said: "I'm delighted that so many residents have joined in 'Bend and Stretch in Somerset'.

"Taking regular exercise helps keep us healthy at every age and at Somerset Care we do everything we can to help our residents remain active."
