THE winners of Taunton Town Centre Company's bi-annual window display competition have received their prizes at a presentation evening in Sturms Sport Bar.

A total of 15 stores businesses took part in the contest, run on a World Cup theme in conjunction with the County Gazette.

The winners were: overall impact, County Flowers; best use of space, Bad Angel; best use of products, Jane Adams Salon; best interpretation, Jane Armour Trading; glass goblet for most innovative, Watkin's Toys; Will Shakespeare Vase for best overall, Eden; Gazette reader's choice, Jane Armour Trading.

Terry Read, of Deane Drive, who made the winning choice, won a bouquet donated by County Flowers, of East Reach, a leather England football and carry case from Watkin's Toys, a gift pack from Cotleigh Brewery and a voucher for a Cut and Style from Jane Adams Salon.

Taunton Town Centre manager Lucy Ball said judging had again been difficult and thanked Sarah Green from M&S Visual Merchandising team for her help and expertise in the judging.

Mrs Ball said she hoped many more shops would enter the Christmas competition - the theme of which will be announced in November and thanked everyone who donated prizes and took part.
