ANOTHER batch of Royal Marines return home to Norton Fitzwarren today.
The latest group from 40 Commando, based at Norton Manor Camp, will jet into Brize Norton later this morning.
They will then be bussed to Norton, where families and friends will be anxiously waiting to welcome them home.
They have spent the last six month in the Sangin area of Afghanistan's Helmand Province.
Their homecoming is tinged with sadness after they lost 14 comrades and a number were also seriously injured.
A homecoming parade is being organised to give them an official welcome back next month, when they will march through the centre of Taunton.
Hundreds of people have shown their support for 40 Commando during their tough tour of duty through the Somerset County Gazette's Shoulder to Shoulder campaign.
Get your copy of Thursday's County Gazette for reports and photos of their homecoming.
