FINANCE bosses at Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital are crunching the numbers after the spending review/.
The hospital, which employs 4,000 people, has already been consulting with unions over staff cuts and changes to employment terms.
Work has also started on a new £38million surgical block to replace worn out Second World War buildings at the hospital.
The new block, to be built in two phases, will include operating theatres, four 28-bed wards featuring single en suite rooms, critical care services, intensive treatment and high dependency units, clinical work stations and replacement car parking.
Today hospital spokesman Mark Wall said: “We will be looking at the details of the review and digesting the numbers.”
