MORE details on the impact of the cuts on youth services in Taunton have been revealed this week.

As reported, the youth service budget is being cut from £12million to £3million.

This week, Julian Laurence, chair of the board of management at Taunton YMCA, said: “Somerset County Council has only withdrawn money from the Monday evening session held at the YMCA.

“The sessions on Wednesdays, the Local Action Team youth group and our own very popular two evening youth groups are still running as usual, and there are no plans to cut these.”
