POLICE have renewed their appeal for information on the murder of Taunton man Roger Denslow.

The body of Mr Denslow, 40, of Wheatley Crescent, was found on wasteland near the Obridge underpass on Friday, June 30, exactly a week after he was last seen walking to the shops in Priorswood.

His body was discovered under corrugated metal sheets by children looking for materials to build a den.

He had suffered extensive chest and head injuries.

But despite two post mortems a cause of death still has not been established.

Though there have been extensive police inquiries no-one has yet to be charged with Mr Denslow's murder.

A police spokesman said: "We're renewing our appeal for anyone who might have information on the last movements of Mr Denslow or on his death to come forward.

"This can be done by calling 0845-4567000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111."

The family and friends of Mr Denslow held a prize bingo event last Thursday, July 27, in his memory at the football club and raised £22.70.

Mr Denslow's sister, Rosemary, said: "We want to say a big thankyou to all the businesses who donated prizes and to everyone who came along.

"The money will go towards a memorial for Roger as well as to Selworthy School."
