AN estimated 250 protestors took to the streets of Taunton this morning to oppose the huge cuts planned by Somerset County Council.
People of all ages met at French Weir recreation ground and made their way through the town centre waving banners and placards.
Extra police lined the route as they made their way to County Hall, where they held a rally outside, with several speakers addressing the crowd.
They are angry at the cuts to services and jobs being introduced by the county.
The authority says it has no choice as it is getting less money from the Government and is trying to pay off the county's soaring debt.
