A VARIETY of attractions delighted visitors at the Dunster Beach Summer Festival craft fair on Tuesday.

Stallholders sold everything from cakes and honey to jewellery and knitted items.

Children had the chance to scale a climbing wall, ride donkeys and enter the exciting world of The Amazing Camera Obscura.

A scarecrow competition had 19 entries, which Sarah Sully judged with a helping hand from Cara Shannon.

Victoria Maquire won with her spectacular creation Dunster Beach Royal Flush.

Fair organiser Daphne Gates said: “It was a very good day and there were lots of people despite the weather.

“It is always a very happy, friendly show and there is a good atmosphere in the lovely setting of Dunster Beach.

“All the money from the three days and our event earlier in the summer will be divided between several local charities.”

Tuesday was the culmination of the three-day festival, which included Tai Chi classes, a performance by the West Somerset Morris Men, a dog show, quizzes, music and an emergency services event.
