THESE students from Taunton have raised almost £800 for Diabetes UK after completing a gruelling 300- mile cycle from Land’s End to their hometown.
Hannah Shepherd and Hattie Parker, both 17, who attend Richard Huish, were inspired to take up the challenge after Hannah’s younger brother, George, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes five years ago.
Hannah said: “When my brother was diagnosed it made us realise how many people are affected by this condition.”
Hannah said: “We could not have done it without the help of both of our parents and locals who donated along the way. Everyone has been incredibly generous.”
