THE company behind the Somerset Business Awards logo says it is “very proud” to be sponsors this year.

Glyder is a small, hands-on design, print and web company based in Taunton who initially got involved when they designed the awards logo.

It now produces the accompanying literature and hand-makes the trophies won on the evening.

A spokesma said: “We’re proud to be sponsors as not only does it maintain our profile, but it’s a great way to recognise the achievements made by Somerset businesses.

“This year we’re sponsors of the New Business Award. It’s always encouraging to see so many new businesses in such a diverse range of industries being created in Somerset.

“We’re fortunate in this county when starting a new business as there’s terrific support available from organisations such as the Somerset Chamber and Into Somerset, so it’s no surprise to see so many successful new businesses evolving.

“Winning such a prestigious award means you can show your clients/customers your success using the winner’s logo on your company website, stationery etc.

“It shows them you’ve been recommended by your peers and to choose your company over your competitors – we urge companies considering entering to do so.”
