FIREFIGHTERS released a woman trapped in one of the vehicles.
She was taken out of the vehicle on a spinal board after the roof was cut away.
It is believed she was then taken to hospital.
TRAFFIC has been reduced to a crawl following a three-vehicle accident on the M5 northbound between Junctions 26 (Wellington) and 25 (Taunton) earlier this afternoon.
Delays have been caused by one blocked lane and queuing traffic and congestion to Junction 27 (Tiverton).
Vehicles have been slowed down to 10mph.
