SOME 120 people entered 620 exhibits in this year’s Minehead Flower Show, held at West Somerset Community College on Saturday.

A large number of children were also involved, particularly pupils from Minehead First School.

Show manager Derek Blay said: “Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard in preparing the hall – it looked lovely with all the colourful blooms.”

Geoff Fuller, president of Minehead and District Gardeners Association, thanked the town council and the many businesses in Minehead which had been generous with sponsorship and introduced Stuart Parkman of Triscombe Nurseries, who presented the cups.
