BONMARCHÉ marked its 30th anniversary in style as Taunton shoppers joined in on the celebrations.
The Taunton branch of the women’s clothing chain released 30 balloons and served a special 30th anniversary birthday cake, which was handed out to customers visiting the store.
The retailer was also on the hunt for an 82-year-old woman named Eileen to join in the fun as Dexy’s Midnight Runners’ hit single ‘Come on Eileen’ topped the charts in 1982 – the same year Bonmarché was founded.
The winner was Eileen Boyt, who will receive a £30 gift voucher from the store.
Manager Dawn Artingstall said: “It was lovely – it was great that so many customers decided to join in the celebrations.
“It was also very nice for Taunton Town Centre Manager Graham Love to come down and support us.”
