OFFICIALS at the West Hatch RSPCA centre are hoping Pip will help inspire pet owners to have their animals microchipped.
Staff from the centre tagged animals free of charge at the Taunton Police Family Fun day in Priorswood last week and plan to offer more sessions in the future.
Pip is pictured with animal care assistant Michelle Wylde.
A spokesman for West Hatch said: “Microchipping is a permanent way to protect your pet. Collars and tags can fall off or be removed when a pet is lost or stolen but a microchip can be scanned and the dog reunited with its owner.”
