THE TAUNTON Floral Arts Club has celebrated its 60th Anniversary with a ‘Party in the Park’ at Trull Memorial Hall.
Members old and new gathered at a special club tea party where a demonstration was given by Angela Turner, from Dorset. Her floral arrangements depicted a variety of special events, including a garden party, a music festival, a cocktail party, a fairy party and a proms party. Each arrangement was beautifully interpreted with flowers and accessories.
The meeting was complimented by a ’60s musical accompaniment, and finished with flags, party poppers and a rendition of Land of Hope and Glory.
Committee member Jan Goodman said: “It was a truly memorable and successful evening.”
