FRIENDS of schoolgirl Fiona Geraghty, who died suddenly last year, have raised over £300 for charity after a sponsored horse ride in her memory.
Lucinda Cauchois and Sophie Kelly, who used to ride with Fiona, paid tribute to their close friend by organising a hack on horseback with a group of friends.
They raised over £300 in sponsors and donations for Riding for the Disabled, a charity chosen by Fiona’s family.
The group departed Millhouse Equestrian Centre in Bradford-on-Tone and rode in a circular route through Hillfarrance via The Anchor Inn.
Lucinda, 14, said: “We were really pleased we had so much support from so many people around us.
“We were very happy to have raised so much money for a worthwhile cause.”
