A THRONE made of Somerset willow will be presented to The Queen to mark her Diamond Jubilee year.
The gift, the brainchild of Jacki Penny, a funeral arranger at Co-operative Funeralcare, has been made by the Somerset Willow Company, and is set to be taken to Buckingham Palace and presented to the Queen this month.
“We’re thrilled with the throne and hope the Queen will be proud to sit on it.”
A replica of the throne has also been made to be raffled off to raise money for St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.
