AN annual charity walk washed out earlier this summer is taking place next Sunday, September 2.

It’s Childsplay sees walkers decide on their own start point and converge on Taunton’s Vivary Park for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic from noon to 5pm.

People can take their favourite teddy or cuddly toy, and listen to stories in the ‘Teddy Tent’.

As well as a hog roast and refreshments there will be a bouncy castle, hoopla, coconut shy and face painting, along with a local band.

The Taunton Vale Rotary Club event, which raises money for the Children’s Hospice South-West, was postponed in May because the park was flooded, but runners Chris Saunders and Ben Deer carried on regardless, covering 22 miles to raise £500 for the hospice.
