FIREFIGHTERS helped pump water from a flooded garage in Huish Episcopi at 7.30pm this evening, Wednesday, August 29.
Fire crews also assisted the home occupants with the removal of water from their properties.
IT has now been confirmed that the A38 is partially blocked both ways due to flooding between the B3187 Taunton Road/Summerfield Way at the Chelston Roundabout on the outskirts of Wellington and Silver Street near the two garden centres.
Some traffic is being diverted via West Buckland.
REPORTS are coming in that the A38 between Taunton and Wellington is partially closed due to flooding.

It follows a day of heavy downpours that also led to the second day of Somerset's County Championship cricket match against Surrey in Taunton being completely washed out.
