A CHARITY football match in memory of Andrew Parker will raise funds for the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment (SURE) charity.
The match starts at 3pm in Fairfax Park, Bridgwater.
Among donations for SURE this week were: £320 from Mrs Floyd, and Mr and Mrs Broom, from an open garden event; £200 from Asda through the ‘green disc’ initiative whereby shoppers decide which local group receives a donation from the store (the Josh Evans Fund and Taunton Asthmatic Swimming Club were presented with £50 each as runners-up; and £183.70 in 5p coins.
The amount raised since the County Gazette linked up with SURE now stands at £295,615.
SURE is currently raising money towards a £450,000 Synergy Imaging System for the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital.
