THERE was a buzz around Bishops Lydeard at the weekend when the annual Party in the Park came to the village.
Crowds were kept entertained with music from Skin Tight Samba drum band, The Darlingtons, Antartica and headline act Yes Sir Boss.
There was also a beer festival with 12 ales to sample, a bouncy castle and catering trucks to keep families and people of young and old busy for the evening.
In total, around 1,200 people attended, making it the most successful event yet.
Co-organiser Mike Rigby, who is in his third year running the event, said: “It brings the whole village together and it is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy a community summer event that is reflected in a modern way.
“It was the best attended in the three years I have been doing it so thanks to everyone for coming and supporting the voluntary organised event because you have made it the most successful one yet.”
