AN impressive £1,630 has been coined in for a charity set up to act against violence.

Staff at Property Consortium held a fun day to raise funds for Stand Against Violence, set up by Adam Fouracre after his brother, Lloyd, was beaten to death in Taunton a day before his 18th birthday seven years ago.

The event raised £815 and Property Consortium group chief executive Jer-emy Hyams said it would match-fund that amount, taking the total to £1,630.

Thomas Phillips, who organised the event at Property Consortium in Culmhead, said: “I’d like to thank Jeremy for allowing the day to go ahead again, and all the guys at Pro-perty Consortium who took part in a wonderful day and their continuous support to SAV.

“Thanks also to Somerset cricketers Steve Kirby and Jack Leech, who joined in the fun.

“Thanks also to all who donated to the day – Somerset Cricket Club and players, Buff Spa,

Taunton, Virgin Active, Taunton, Yeovil Town FC, Nigel Mansell raceway, Woodlands Leisure Park and Chris Phillips, of Wessex wood turners.”
