After two weeks of non-stop sporting excitement, the 2024 Paris Olympic Games have finally come to a close.

Countries around the world like the United States of America, China and the United Kingdom competed at various events to win gold, silver and bronze medals.

In terms of overall medals won the USA came out on top, winning a total of 126 medals. However, the Americans were neck-and-neck with China in terms of gold medals with both nations winning 40 each.

The USA also won 44 silver medals as well as 42 bronze. China won 27 silver medals and 24 bronze.

How well did Team GB do at the 2024 Paris Olympics?

The United Kingdom also performed well at the Olympics, coming third in terms of overall medal count.

However, despite winning 65 medals (one more than France), the country actually had fewer gold medals than France, Australia and the Netherlands at just 14.
