From Aztec and Spira chocolate bars to Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoons, there have been a number of products discontinued by Cadbury over the years.

The confectionery company is responsible for a range of popular chocolates including Freddos, Boost, Crunchie, Creme Eggs and the classic Dairy Milk.

But not all of its chocolate bars hang around forever.

A number of its chocolates have been discontinued over the years as Cadbury's product range continued to adapt to meet the "changing tastes" of its customers.

Discontinued Cadbury chocolates

Several chocolates have been axed from Cadbury's product range recently. 

In November (2023), Cadbury confirmed it had discontinued its peanut caramel crisp chocolate bar after just five years on UK shelves.

In the lead-up to Easter this year the company revealed Mini Eggs chocolate cartons "will not be returning", a decision it said was based on the "changing tastebuds" of Cadbury fans. 

Some Cadbury lovers also discovered for the first time in the lead-up to Easter 2024, that Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoons had also been discontinued (back in 2023).

While Cadbury recently revealed it has axed Festive Friends Chocolate Biscuits from its range of products, a decision which fans said had "ruined" Christmas.

Dairy Milk Orange and Mint Crisps chocolate bars have also been discontinued by Cadbury in 2024.

These chocolates join a long line of Cadbury treats axed over the years including:

  • Flake Snow (discontinued in 2008)
  • Astros (2008)
  • Aztec chocolate bar (1978)
  • Spira chocolate bar (2005)
  • Dairy Milk Marvellous Mix Ups with Oreos

Fans call for return of Cadbury's Flake Snow chocolate bar

With so many discontinued Cadbury chocolates, we asked our readers which one they would like to see make a comeback.

While Cadbury's Spira chocolate bar, discontinued back in 2005, received the most votes - with 36%, it was Flake Snow which received the next most with 23%.

Cadbury's Flake Snow chocolate bar was first launched in the UK back in 2000.

The bar had a white chocolate flake center, covered in milk chocolate.

But it only lasted eight years in the UK, with Cadbury revealing in 2008 the chocolate bar had been discontinued.

Fans have been crying for the chocolate bars return ever since.

Cadbury's Flake Snow has its own Facebook page - 'Bring Back Cadbury's Snowflake' which has more than 2,900 likes.

It is so popular, there is even a petition for the return of the chocolate bar, which has received more than 7,400 signatures.

The petition reads: "In 2008 Cadbury broke hearts by discontinuing the Snow Flake (or Flake Snow).

"The bizarre decision still baffles people to this day and it needs to be rectified.

"Say it with me now: BRING. IT. BACK! BRING. IT. BACK!"

Cadbury issues update on future of Flake Snow chocolate bar

With the popularity surrounding Flake Snow still evident, we asked Cadbury if there was a chance of the chocolate bar making a comeback.
