SOMERSET West and Taunton's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with both of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week: • A30, from 6pm February 26 to 6am May 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound and southbound, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.
And one more closure will begin over the next seven days: • M5, from 9pm April 19 to 4am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound and southbound, junction 26 to 27 - lane closures for electrical works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
Drivers in and around South Somerset will have 13 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week: • A303, from 8pm March 27 to 6am April 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound and westbound, Cartgate to Ilchester lane closures for barrier works.
• A303, from 8pm April 4 to 6am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Honiton to Countess mobile lane closures for grass cutting.
• A303, from 9pm April 4 to 4am October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 between Mere and South Petherton mobile lane closure in both directions for drainage works.
• A303, from 8pm December 8 2021 to 6am March 31 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Sparkford to Ilchester improvement scheme.
And a further nine closures will begin over the next seven days: • A303, from 8pm April 13 to 6am April 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Sparkford traffic lights for asset inspection (BT).
• A303, from 8pm April 13 to 6am April 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound and westbound, Cartgate to Ilchester lane closures for barrier works.
• A303, from 6am April 19 to 7am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Sparkford to Podimore stop and go boards for horticultural works.
• A303, from 6am April 19 to 8am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Southfields to junction with A30 stop and go boards for horticultural works.
• A303, from 9am April 19 to 3pm April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Marsh lane closure in both directions for horticultural works.
• A303, from 8pm April 19 to 6am May 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Honiton to Countess mobile lane closures for grass cutting.
• A303, from 8pm April 19 to 6am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound and westbound, Wincanton lane closures for surveys.
• A303, from 8pm April 21 to 6am April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Wincanton lane closures for surveys.
• A303, from 10pm April 22 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Sparkford to Podimore traffic signals for Sparkford to Ilchester improvement scheme.
